Why has the membership structure changed?

Change in SCIP Membership structure was long due and much needed with persistent demand from our diversified Members cum Stakeholders – existing plus new aspirants.

Historically, SCIP had multiple categories and sub-categories of membership system. This system had to be rationalized and simplified to make it user friendly with the aim of providing focused services as well as deeper engagement. Also, Membership management, communication and interface become much more effective for all of us to support a vibrant and sustainable Membership base.

We mapped the past Membership Categories with our new Structure to redesign and align with the evolution and growth plans of SCIP. When Membership categories are simple and structured, the benefits for each category are better understood and appropriately linked to what one opts for with lots of room for flexibility. We do have group and team discounts like in the past, but these are worked out on case basis as sizes vary and there can be no standardization. Rather, we initiate referral fee for SCIP Champions who promote multiple members within or outside their organizations/networks. Future automation and deployment of smart technology plans also go well with this new structure.

When does the new membership structure take effect?

The new membership structure gets displayed at the new SCIP Website www.scip.world plus other channels and platforms from May 18, 2026. All new sign-ups will follow the new structure. Whereas existing members will transition based on their current cycle and how they are mapped into the new structure. We are open to adjusting if anyone points out that the current mapping for them is not correct or a good fit, given their actual Member category status and the mapping done by us.

Will my current membership be affected?

Yes, but the transition is seamless. Your membership will be mapped to the closest equivalent in the new structure, ensuring continued access and improved clarity of benefits. Once again, as indicated above, we are open to adjusting if anyone points out that the current mapping for them is not correct or a good fit, given their actual Member category status and how we did the mapping. Email us at info@scip.world for such concerns and inadequacies. We do have plans to start Membership hotline to address such issues along with many others.

What will my membership convert to?

Associate Explorer (Free)
Student Student Membership
Academic/Non-Profit/Government Individual or Practitioner & Provider or Corporate category in some cases.
Practitioner Practitioner & Provider. If the Practitioner or Provider belongs to Corporate category, they should opt for that and contact us for help with switching.
Solution Provider Corporate category (in few specific individual cases, it will be Practitioners & Providers category.

Will I lose any benefits during the transition?

No, not at all! Rather, we want to make you feel more connected, engaged and elevated. The new structure is designed to maintain or enhance your current benefits, with clearer access, additional opportunities and enhanced scope of customization to match your needs. However, we wish to be upfront in telling you that for a 40-year-old organization like SCIP, this kind of transition to the newly mapped Membership with upgraded Membership Platform as well as Technology, we may feel like being in an unfamiliar territory with a short learning phase. Our communication channel and proposed Membership hotline will fill any unexpected gap that may arise. We assure you that our assistance would always be there for you to the best of ability in such instances.

Why have some membership fees changed?

The inflation adjusted updated pricing reflects expanded benefits, improved access to resources, and new opportunities such as enhanced visibility, business development, professional growth, outreach, networking, speaking, and content contributions. For each Membership category the offerings will continue expanding as quite a few projects are on the anvil. For instance, asynchronous learning, masterclasses, certified courses, virtual conferences and retreats are being released with more of such initiatives by Q1 of 2027. The structure also helps us to make these added benefits a reality. In most cases, the prices are being rationalized rather than what may be wrongly constituted as hikes.

Will my current pricing remain the same?

Existing members will be informed of any pricing changes at renewal. Until then, your current membership terms remain valid. While you will ultimately move to the new Membership structure, we will ensure enough flexibility and room for adjustment and switching.

What is the mode of Payment for Membership?

Membership payments can be made through our secured payment gateway Stripe, and you can use your bank transfer method, debit and credit cards. Other means to be added are compatible with Stripe. All Membership Payments are Annual and non-refundable. For specific cases of refunds, please see Terms and Conditions section and we shall be glad to consider these on a case basis.

Are there team or bulk discounts for organizations and individuals?

Yes. Corporate Memberships include multiple representatives and discounts on events and learning packages plus other privileges announced from time to time. This feature of Corporate Membership makes it ideal for teams. Discounts for larger team sizes for corporates and individuals are made available on case basis. Premium Corporate Membership allows for larger teams and more customized offerings. Contact us for special discounts offered for large and varied team sizes. As indicated above under Q1, we cannot standardize discounts as the number of team members and composition of groups seeking discount will tend to vary. Needless to say, for all categories of Memberships, there is bulk discount.

What is the Explorer membership?

Explorer is free entry-level membership with limited access to resources and allows you to explore the opportunities, network, attend few events before upgrading to derive more benefits.

What benefits do Individual Members receive?

Individual members receive full access to resources, along with discounts on events and learning packages.

What is unique about the Practitioner & Provider membership?

This category includes all Individual benefits plus opportunities to get recognized and then be listed as:

Speaker
Mentor
Author
Provider of content, products, or services

It’s designed for professionals and experts willing to actively contribute, enhance visibility and outreach.

What are Corporate Memberships?

Corporate Memberships have 3 tiers – A, B and Premium that are designed for all types of organizations – large, small and mega companies. Profit, Non-profit and Government fall in this category and include:

Designated representatives
Discounts on events and learning
Full access to resources for the team made available from time to time

Three tiers are available with varying privileges:

Corporate A – offers more privileges in terms of representatives and discounts
Corporate B – offers less privileges in terms of representatives and discounts
Premium Corporates – offers varying privileges in terms of representatives and discounts plus customized services as well as offerings. Membership amount varies from $10,000 to $25,000

How do team or bulk discounts apply?

For each Event, Service or Membership, there can be bulk or team discounts depending on the number of representatives from the same Corporate/Entity or other Groups/Teams approaching SCIP for such discounts (see Q1 and Q9). Additionally, SCIP will announce bulk or team discounts for specific events, learning packages and services. Considering the diverse customization needs in these cases, these are offered on case basis.

What benefits do students receive?

Students receive all the benefits of Individual membership at a significantly reduced rate, with valid student ID and proof as full time student. We may offer special discounts to students for specific courses and volunteer work certification that could be useful for their institution, employer or future career.

What does “full access to resources” include?

Full access includes learning materials, community resources, exclusive content designed to support your professional growth, enhanced knowledge base, invites to special events, networking forums, access to videos, podcasts and other privileges announced from time to time.

Can I upgrade my membership later?

Yes. You can upgrade at any time to access additional benefits and opportunities.

How do discounts for events work?

Paid members receive discounted rates for events and learning packages. The number of discounts may vary depending on your Membership category. For any bulk and team discount refer to Q1, Q9 and Q14.

How can I become a speaker, mentor, or contributor?

Members in the Practitioner & Provider tier will have access to a listing template and opportunities to apply as speakers, mentors, authors, or service providers. This helps with visibility, outreach and business development.

Can organizations showcase their expertise, promote business, new products or special offerings?

Yes. Corporate members can do that in multiple ways during events (online and onsite), special forums, etc. These are often need based and customized appropriately and the organizations can communicate with SCIP for this purpose including specific suggestions/recommendation for such showcasing.
